Megan graduated at the top of her class. This is right before she gave her commencement speech.
It was a beautiful day today – with some strong winds as you’ll see in a few pictures. We lived, breathed, and played soccer all day today – Colleen’s pictures at 11:30, Christopher’s pictures at 2:30, Colleen’s game at 3:00, and Christopher’s game at 5:00. Colleen had an awesome day. Her team won 3 – 1 and she scored the final two goals (yeah – ice cream for the Thompson family!). This year there are 7 players on the field for each team including the addition of a goalie. Here is Colleen coming off of the field right after she scored her second goal and about to give Beth high five.
Here’s Christopher warming up before the game π
And in the game…
And of course we can’t leave Megan out. Yes, it was just a bit windy at times.
Hey dad, if you thought my train video was weird then you probably shouldn’t read this next part I found on the Internet (I was researching the apparent violent biting behavior of our ducks π )
“When a sufficient amount of head bobbing has taken place, and the female is ready, she will stretch out her neck and allow the drake to mount. To keep his balance, the drake bites the back of the henβs neck.”
You can all stop worrying about momma mallard – she likes it rough π
Congrats to all for graduation, soccer goals, etc. Looks like you had a great weekend.
Hi Grandpa – this is Colleen. Do you want me to score a goal for you?
Hi Five to you Colleen – 2 goals – Bravo.
Christopher looks like he is ready to attack the ball. Keep up the good work, Christopher.
Megan is the cutest ball girl any team has.
Colleen,
That would be great if you score a goal for me, but most importantly just do your best and have lots of fun.
Soccer is a great team sport. You are lucky to be playing it when you are young. I didn’t start playing on a team until the year 1995. Do you know how old I was then?
I like your uniform. Blue is my favorite color. What is your favorite color?
Grandpa – this is Colleen and Christopher. In 1995 I think you were younger than my dad is now, and Christopher thinks you were 1 year old then. My favorite color is green (but I like my blue uniform) and Christopher’s favorite color is blue.
